You'll need access to a kit at home to practise between lessons. An electronic drum kit is a great option for home use — it's quiet, compact, and our tutors work with them regularly. Your tutor can recommend a suitable kit for your budget.
How old do you need to be to start drum lessons in Liverpool?
We teach drums from age 7 upward. Younger children typically start on a smaller practice pad to build technique before moving to a full kit. There's no upper age limit — adults of all ages learn with us.
Will my neighbours hear my drum practice?
With an acoustic kit, yes — volume is a real consideration. Many students use electronic kits with headphones to manage this. Acoustic kits can also be fitted with mesh heads and practice pads to reduce volume significantly.
Do you teach drum grades and exams?
Yes — we can prepare students for RockSchool, Trinity, and ABRSM drum grades. Exams are optional; many students prefer to learn by playing songs and building a repertoire without formal assessment.
